Club President's message
Welcome to the Rotary Club of Catfords website. Rotary International is a worldwide organisation focussed on two key areas, service and fellowship. Now we are entering the festive Season I would like to wish all of our friends and supporters a happy and Peaceful time I would like to thank the residents of Catford who have given generously to our Xmas collections over the years We have raised over a Staggering £100,000 through our street collections Every penny raised will be distributed to LOCAL charities If you know of an organisation or individual who needs some help please contact us Our Club the Rotary club of Catford is actively involved in fundraising to support local charities and community based projects in the local area. In addition, through our worldwide connections we contribute to important international projects including the eradication of polio worldwide, provision of clean water and we provide aid to communities affected by natural disasters. Fellowship amongst members is our other key focus; put simply, being in Rotary is a great way to meet new friends, give something back to the less privileged in our community, and to have fun in the process. We are currently recruiting new members If you would like more information please check out our membership page Please click here I'm proud to be President this year of a club which has a diverse membership; long standing members (including one who has been in Rotary for over 60 years!) who have lots of experience and wisdom together with younger, talented members who have experience of the challenges of working in today's fast moving business communities is a great blend. We meet each Wednesday at the Bromley Court Hotel, Bromley Hill, Bromley at 6.30 for 7pm (except where there is a 5th Wednesday in the month where alternative arrangements may be in place). In addition to discussing our fundraising plans, progress etc we have an interesting programme of speakers on a variety of subjects. Whether you are a fellow Rotarian from another club or someone who is just interested in finding out more about Rotary we would be delighted to welcome you to one of our meetings.
