Club President's message
A message from our President
Hello and welcome to our Web site. My name is Alan Ash and it is my privilege to be President of The Rotary Club of Catford for 2008/2009. The club membership is a mix of people, both male and female, who share like minded ideals of service to the community coupled with fellowship. It is not all work and no play. The beneficiaries of our fund raising activities are usually local charities, but under the banner of Rotary International contributions are made to overseas projects and humanitarian aid. Rotary has many thousands of clubs throughout the world where all visiting members are made welcome. It is this network of clubs that is the strength of Rotary creating great opportunities and resources to improve and make a difference to the lives of other people less fortunate than ourselves. The Catford club meets most Wednesdays at the Bromley Court Hotel at 6:45 for 7:00p.m. Why not join us one evening and see what it’s all about. We welcome men and women of all ages, particularly those from the local community. Throughout the year we participate in many activities generally with a charitable slant but also, sports, food and drink events, the theatre, general socialising etc, you name it - we do it. If you are reading this because you might be interested in joining Rotary, or indeed are a visiting Rotarian, please come along and join us for a meal on a Wednesday evening when we shall be pleased to extend a warm welcome. If you would like to receive additional information about The Rotary Club of Catford or Rotary in general please contact us by using the link on this page. Yours in Rotary Alan Ash Rotary Club of Catford
